Worked within various vertical sites/industries with complete Internet Marketing responsibilities. These included page one SERP content techniques, News Letter Marketing, Action Oriented landing pages, Split Testing, Pay Per Click Methodologies. In addition, developed portals for B2B companies, eCommerce sites, and Learning Management systems.

Helped create an Internet Advertising campaign for a Hot Tub Manufacturer resulting in over $5MM in additional net sales, Created content campaigns that generated bottom line dollars through a monitored Request For Quote system.

Managed Newsletter campaigns, Social Networking Sites, provided page one SEO/SERP ranking, traffic analysis, affiliate development and advanced site optimization.

Worked freelance for many companies to build, manage, market, and optimize websites. Some of these include West Michigan Christian News, Nordic Hot Tubs, American Systems Registrar, and many others.

2005 – 2007 The Stable Group, Inc. Comstock Park, MI
Marketing Consultant & Application Architect

Responsible for product positioning, marketing, and channel development. Designed an integrated application between a CMS based website, smart phone and GPS navigation technology. The system sent work orders and routing to property contractor’s smart phones, routed them to their destination then transmitted work results and job photos back to the web application.  Note: this was an "uber" type app before the iPhone existed.

2001 – 2005 Various Consulting Engagements

Project management and consulting with Comtech (Herndon Virginia) and the federal government for network security, VPN and remote access network services. Provided product marketing with Cybernet (Grand Rapids Michigan). Employed to develop network management, data center and managed service product offerings.

1998 – 2001 Mutual Information Exchange, Inc. Kentwood, MI

Managed product teams to develop an online back up solution (similar to Carbonite or Mozy), a content management system, and learning management software. Responsibilities included product design, sales documentation, architecture, business planning, sales support, channel management, organizational structure, requirements definitions and financial reporting.

1995 – 1998 The Iserv Company Kentwood, MI
President & CEO

Iserv was started as a dial-up & dedicated line Internet Service Provider (ISP). It grew from about 50 customers in June of 1995 to over 30,000 desktops by 1998. Iserv was a profitable company every year with revenues doubling annually. It became a multi-million dollar operation within three years with a return on investment surpassing 1,200%. During that time my contributions included business start up management, product positioning, website content, branding, marketing, organizational development, and sales.

Awarded the 1998 Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Northwood University.

1989 – 1997 Corporate Information Systems, Inc. Grand Rapids, MI
President & CEO

CIS developed a document management system on then state-of-the-art software and hardware. At CIS, I developed the product's initial release, created an international reseller network, created sales documentation and technical documentation, grew sales within the banking, healthcare and manufacturing industries, provided direct sales, and moved the product to an online service.

1986 – 1989 GeneSys Data Technologies, Inc. Hunt Valley, MD

GDT was a developer of advanced imaging and document management systems. While there, I helped developed sales material, product demonstrations, & pricing plans for their reseller network, provided technical sales support and helped create documentation and sales literature.
