he Stable Group was created in July of 2005 to support the efforts of Stallion Property Services - a Mortgage Field Service company. Stallion provides services to banks and mortgage companies for clients at varying stages of default.
The problem: Stallion's business operated with poor cash flow, outdated technology, inefficient operations, and tight margins - but business was growing. This could be a disaster waiting to happen if growth continued to accelerate.
The solution: I helped get them an operating loan, trained staff on technology, revised their operating procedures and created The Stable Group and designed a remote data collection system using current technology as a new service...

The efforts at The Stable group culiminated in two main services.
SWIFT
SWIFT stands for Stable Wireless Information Field Technology (that's a mouthful). SWIFT integrates a web based application, a Smart phone and a GPS navigation system.
Here was the SWIFT functions integrated with the contractor's work order fulfillment:
1Jobs are received by Stallion from banks or mortgage management companies.
2Stallion enters the job information into SWIFT and assigns a field contractor.
3The field contractor logs into SWIFT from their smart phone and downloads their work orders.
4The contractor drives to a job site with the aid of the smart phone's built in GPS navigator
5They complete the work, taking pictures from the smart phone and entering notations and comments.
6The completed job information is sent back to the web based application
7The office staff reviews the job, sends the bank the job results and sends them an invoice.
All of these steps were performed manually before SWIFT. What once took 2 hours on paper, was completed in less than 5 minutes.
SWIFT reduced the job processing overhead for Stallion by over 80%.
The product/service worked so well we began to offer it to other Mortgage Field Service contractors around the country.
CERTIFICATION
A major issue in the Mortgage Field Servicing industry was ensurin quality work was completed on the property. Often times, contractors may "forget" to clear water pipes then later find a basement flooded after the heat was turned off. These errors cost insurance carriers millions of dollars.
A Stable certification was created using online Learning Management Technology, HUD regulations, and industry standard guidelines. Contractors would buy the online course, take it and upon successful completion, Stable would send them a certificate.
Stable partnered with the leading insurance broker and Lloyds of London to give contractors a discount on their Errors & Ommissions policy - providing more incentive to take the certification course.
My role in The Stable Group varied depending upon the immediate needs of the organization - from negociator, designer, QA testing, webmaster, order fullfilment, customers support.
I initially developed and managed their website using Joomla, VirtueMart ecommerce, DOCman, Community Builder and a number of other integrated components. Since I moved on, they rebuilt and redesigned their site.
