During college I dug ditches, coached gymnastics, and started a small business. After graduating, my education really began!
During my +25 years in business, I have had roles from programmer to CEO. As an entrepreneur I am a consultant, an employee, an employer, a salesman, marketeer, a business coach, and mentor.
I have worked in large organizations and small businesses. I have experienced start up successes and start up bombs.
Through it all, I maintain a passion for building value and helping people succeed and grow (for both the clients and employees).
My work has covered three main venues
- Technical (Programming, Software Design, Support, Training, Sales, and Website Development)
- Technology Marketing (Product branding, positioning, Search Engine Optimization, etc...)
- Business Management, Planning and Organizational Development (business models, organizational structures and building result oriented tactical plans)

oomla! Component Manager was created based on a need in a specific segment of the market. Within the Joomla site development venue many people use an advanced user registration and profile management system called Community Builder. This tool captures customized information about a user during the registration process. This information is useful as a precursor to social networking and a way for visitors to learn more about others on the site.
I saw a need to take this profile information and use it to customize a site for the specific person. A simple example is to welcome the user with their name once they successfully login. Another example would be to capture information about their interests and direct specific content to them based on their profile.

To create these services, I had to build tools and processes to make website building extremely easy. Using the Joomla! CMS has huge advantages, but it takes many hours to put a site together. Creating a basic site with basic functionality and a simple content structure requires at least 18 hours of work. After the basics are created, the site needs to be customized for each client.

he Stable Group was created in July of 2005 to support the efforts of Stallion Property Services - a Mortgage Field Service company. Stallion provides services to banks and mortgage companies for clients at varying stages of default.
The problem: Stallion's business operated with poor cash flow, outdated technology, inefficient operations, and tight margins - but business was growing. This could be a disaster waiting to happen if growth continued to accelerate.
The solution: I helped get them an operating loan, trained staff on technology, revised their operating procedures and created The Stable Group and designed a remote data collection system using current technology as a new service...

By the time I left Iserv, our talented staff and infrastructure was serving up the internet to over 30,000 desktops. During that time my contributions included business start up management, organizational development, sales, and marketing.
